Like any good play, the characters must be introduced. Considering I have already wasted most of my day (or rather not wasted but used) at a cafe in Alphabet City using their free WiFi, I cannot write the first act. I can however show you the Dramatis Personae:
First, there's me. Zach. Hi. That's me with the giant pack in a laundry mat last night at 1 AM desperately trying to clean all my laundry and pack it quickly so I could re-locate to couch #2 on this crazy adventure. As stated, story and circumstances to come later.
Second, there's June. My traveling companion and 'super-tramp' super-cat. She is stalwartly and up for adventure, wether it be knocking a fly out of mid-air, or mastering the art of climbing fire-escapes (as demonstrated at our last couch-of-residence in Inwood), she will jump fool-heartedly ahead on the trail.
Which is a good trait for a cat to have. Especially a couch-surfing cat.
This is the story of a man and his cat hitting the road. Read along as we travel the country and NYC, exploring the ins and outs of urban life and the urban-underground.
Now, seriously, I have some errands to do and a gym to get to.
Cheers mates, and happy-tramping.
